Resistance Is Life goes to film festivals globally

Our film, Resistance is Life, is now screening in film festivals globally with its World Premiere at the Cleveland International Film Festival (#CIFF41) in Cleveland, Ohio. The feature documentary tells the story of the lives of Kurdish refugees on the Turkish-Syrian border during the siege of their hometown, Kobane, by the so-called Islamic State.

Here is a short synopsis:

From a refugee camp on the Turkish-Syrian border, an 8-year-old girl, Evlin, characterizes the resistance of her homeland. Her heroes, the Kurdish female fighters, are defending the city of Kobane against the onslaught by ISIS militants. The power of the human spirit emanates through Evlin as she shows us that hope and resilience prevail even in the most tragic of circumstances. Evlin takes us on a journey that introduces the many different faces of the resistance on both sides of the border and provides a unique look at the extraordinary spirit behind the first major victory against ISIS.

The feature documentary will have its World Premiere at the 41st Cleveland International Film Festival. The festival is a leader in promoting film arts and using the medium as a way to create social impact and raising awareness of global issues. If you are in the area or have the means to attend, I highly recommend it as there will be a whole host of films worth watching.
